Yokai tapir “獏（ばく）” #48

The baku, or tapir, is a phantom beast that was introduced to Japan from China.

It lives on the nourishment of people’s dreams. Whenever you have a nightmare,

if you chant twice, “I will give this dream to the baku,

” you will never have the same dream again.

This is said to prevent the baku from having the same dream twice.

バクは、中国から日本に伝わった幻の獣です。

人の夢を栄養にして生きている幻獣。

悪夢を見たとき、「この夢は獏に与える」と2回唱えると、二度と同じ夢を見ることはないそう。
