The dragon god is worshipped throughout Japan as a water god who presides over water.

Rain-making ceremonies have been held throughout Japan at swamps and pools where the dragon god is said to dwell. Incidentally, firefly squid are said to be messengers of the Dragon Palace.

龍神は、水を司る水神として日本全国に信仰されている。

龍神が宿るとされる沼や淵では、日本各地で雨乞いの儀式が行われてきた。

ちなみに、ホタルイカは竜宮城の使いと言われている。
